It was a day
like this, I can recall, when we would meet where there were no
restrictions. Softly we shared our
respective surroundings. She’d speak of
the warm sea breeze blowing curtains in towards her bedroom; the sun vanishing
into the Western sultry dusk. My mind
would race entangled in imagination’s flights cast into her revelry; stretched out
as a feline, half naked on her pillows.
We easily laughed at nothing in
particular. She was so vividly present,
I could almost smell the scent of her, be captivated by her unique flashing
eyes.
On days like this, the emotion revisits
like an unexpected friend, the surprise and welcome to a long familiar joy. It’s
not a lament that accompanies these fractions of my past, nor regret that
negotiates my racing heartbeats. Rather a deep reverence to a treasured memory I
had gingerly stored away. These words
glide like her subtle amused chuckles; invoking my attention that raised hair
on the nap of my neck. Our dance was divinely simple yet as nature’s precious
gifts, so very delicately balanced and woefully fragile. Dew-gems dangle on gossamer
webbing of a fresh morning of our wanderings.
I
enjoyed a freedom’s excitement with sending my sonnets; eager to listen to her
tender squeals of enchantment; so achingly I sought approved welcome. Time drives change relentless, as all things
are always changing, in the physical world we breathe.
Where the heart resides, lies my treasure
chest of affectionate recollections
The voice
that sings its never concluding melody, remaining echoes to quicken the
passionate pulse
Of the maiden
in my reckless hearts desire.
Because you're a woman, as I convey ~
I know....
So becomes the breeze desire ~ a dance of two.
Stoking the internal fires, audible sighs of reined passion
Reminders to feel
Ache for touching the cherished prize
Reward of life
Susceptible to wanting hungrily
...Tis when the coy and demure whisper of feminine charms
sprinkle light enchantment towards the masculine senses
As he willingly surrender to her intoxication...of his fantasy
