Power To Command

A positive choice is just that;

It seems necessary for us to have experience with contrast

 in order to choose.

Who can't be spry and joyful in an environment of no hardship?

That's easy...as well as fragile.

I'm not saying my life has been any harder or easier than any other person’s

I know in order to deem my deserving

Some yes, some not so much

 I wish to compare consequences without conditions

in order to get comfortable with my choices

Keep in mind, I say to myself,

You have all the tools you need to have all you ever dream.

How to paint the canvas has nothing to do

with the number of colors on the pallet.

In my case, I have the enviable challenge of many possibilities

Some might say that could be a curse

I am certain success is near with any endeavor,

If I keep my opinion framed in this question

am happy in the effort

that will keep me aware

makes me strong in gratitude

and humility near enough to know I am not entitled to anything

so then

 unbiased clarity such as that

gives me power to command.
