Trail Blazing ~ Next Breath

I have noticed as of late, an increase ~ a trend actually, in our current social media attitude. One that is more critical towards the messenger, while ignoring carefully selected ancillary conditions.  In other words, picking at straws and seeking perfection as a standard to judge a targeted person by.  An expectation of flawlessness is rigidly demanded if one is to undertake any position that is not in compliance with a presumed established dogma in which the reporting agency considers itself to be. Look at the political arena.  It is quite obvious that if you disagree, you are the enemy.
We’re all citizens, but it’s difficult to feel affiliated to someone who accuses you of being stupid or lacking in any redeeming value whenever you disagree with them; and on any point.  Any that dare attempt to affect change must have credentials awarded by some nameless panel of experts.  The very same experts that designed a system that is not providing what it promised.  This is not in accordance with anything remotely seen in nature. In nature, the underpinning script of adaptation is encouraged for improved survival of the species.  Attempting, as an expression of an individual to improve in a social setting, is the spirit of courage to make a difference.  Results oriented critiquing has its place in determining if a process is working, but as THE standard to measure innovation, it can serve to be repressive and oppressive.
Ultimately, demands made by rigid intolerance works as an initiative inhibitor.  When consequences of effort are not anchored in rewards for success but rather based on dreading the prospect of being vanquished, then that value indirectly advocates fear over nurturing creative license.
Error is a necessary part of the process of experimentation.  Certainly Thomas Edison would agree with me; it took him over a thousand tries to find the right filament for the light bulb ~ something today we take for granted.
